 Meet The Band

People throughout time have written songs to remember their heritage, the things they were thankful for, and the trials they had endured. Native Americans passed their songs and traditions down to their children. Foreign immigrants brought their music with them to America. This was called folk music. Cowboy music is the folk music of America. Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Riders of the Western Range, a four member band playing traditional cowboy music by artists such as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Sons of the Pioneers, in addition to modern artists like Riders in the Sky and Sons of the San Joaquin. We play standards plus original songs written by our guitarist, Hal. Our bookings take us to retirement centers, city celebrations, park concerts, pioneer associations and fairs. Currently, our band is the only cowboy band we know of that has women in the group. Playing the old standards and some original songs, we are doing our part to keep cowboy music alive.
